Dr. Vahling
Dr. Ashley Vahling, a native of Southern Illinois, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Illinois in 2016, followed by her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. With a passion for both pets and livestock, Dr. Ashley always knew she wanted to live and work in a rural community practicing mixed animal medicine. During her final year of veterinary school, she spent two weeks in Clifton for a veterinary externship. Dr. Ashley fell in love with beautiful central Texas, especially the town of Clifton, the surrounding communities, and the people who live there. She moved to China Spring, Texas, in June 2024 and began working as an associate veterinarian in August. Dr. Ashley’s professional interests include ophthalmology, cardiology, and diagnostic imaging, with a particular enjoyment in working with sporting and hunting dogs. She looks forward to meeting and building relationships with her clients and their animals. Outside of work, Dr. Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters, along with her pack of Catahoula dogs, horses, and barn cats. An avid outdoorswoman, she enjoys hunting, fly fishing, competing in working trials with her dogs, as well as reading and painting.
