Clifton Veterinary Clinic has been proudly serving Clifton and the Bosque County area since 1965.
Our motto of “Expert Medicine, Hometown Service” is the guiding factor for everything we do. We believe that good medicine and amazing service are not mutually exclusive. You should expect a level of medicine unheard of in a small rural community, and a level of love and familiarity unheard of in a large metroplex.

Every case, every client, and every animal make us better at what we do. We hope that you will feel you are inherently blessed by our passion, our service and our medicine. Dr. Parks first opened Clifton Veterinary Clinic in 1965 at its previous location at the North end of town. The long and successful history of this clinic is owed to several men who took ownership and left their mark on both the clinic and the community.

In 2015, Dr. Kaki Nicotre and her husband Kyle bought Clifton Veterinary Clinic and have operated it with a passion for service since that time.

Dr. Ashley Vahling, a native of Southern Illinois, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Illinois in 2016, as well as her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. With a passion for both pets and livestock, Dr. Ashley knew she wanted to live and work in a rural community practicing mixed animal medicine. During her last year of veterinary school, she spent two weeks in Clifton for a veterinary externship. Dr. Ashley fell in love with beautiful central Texas, especially the town of Clifton and the surrounding communities and the people who live there. She moved to China Spring, Texas in June of 2024 and began as an associate veterinarian in August.

Dr. Ashley’s professional interests include ophthalmology, cardiology, and diagnostic imaging. She particularly enjoys working with sporting and hunting dogs. She looks forward to meeting and building relationships with her clients and their animals.

Outside of work, Dr. Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband and two little girls, as well as her pack of Catahoula dogs and her horses and barn cats. She is an avid outdoorswoman and enjoys hunting and fly fishing, competing in working trials with her dogs, as well as reading and painting.
